The Amazing Race 2018
The second run of HSAC Transportation Committee's Amazing Race took place on Friday, Sept. 14th, 2018. Three teams participated with representatives from various agencies: Iowa Legal Aid, West Central Community Action, the League of Human Dignity, the City of Council Bluffs and the Municipal Housing Agency. Each team was tasked with traversing the city using OMetro or their own feet for transportation. Racers discovered and overcame
many different challenges while they were seeking community resources. This eye-opening event succeeded in raising awareness of the obstacles low income individuals
and families experience on a daily basis.
